He’s alive, he’s half dead. Folks just call him…uh that guy who plays with Guns N Roses? First off, it’s played with G N R since that band is done with, and yes, it makes me laugh when people say this, only because I know Buckethead has much more to offer than power arena rock; This KFC bucket wearing, white masked anomaly has been around in the underground for over a decade, and is closely connected with the bay area, and camp Primus. Buckethead can play pretty much any style of music. He can dish out the hard hitting sludge metal, while on the other side of the coin, he knows how to chill back and create acoustic arrangements that will have you melting away in long serene dreamscapes.

A total of 11 different vocalists specializing in musical styles ranging from opera, metal, rap, indie rock, grindcore, world and everything in between found their way onto Enter The Chicken.

Kortom; zeer gevarieerde plaat. Van moderne metal met shredsolos tot oosterse electro-ambient achtige semi-ballads, en dan na een radiovriendelijke indierocktune weer via een country interlude naar grindcore met een jaren 80 glamrock solo. Vet!
