So finally, we were in London. We, teenagers, without parents, in a big city. But we couldn’t enjoy those thoughts for to long, we were too tired, because we didn’t slept at all the night before. And everybody needed to go to the bad room. So Mr Bronsgeest thought he knew toilets, somewhere in the Hyde park, where we got out of the busses. So we walked across the Hyde park and when we finally arrived by the toilets, we saw that they were closed. So we had to walk back the long way and we still didn’t go to the bad room. Then we also had to wait for the assignments and instructions. And we needed it bad to find a toilet at that time. But happily the teachers told us that there was almost at every corner a Mac Donalds. And that’s were we went, when we got the assignments. We were far away from home in London and the first thing we went to was the Mac Donalds…
After that, we were headed to BP. The famous Palace we have seen on television like a thousand times. But now we could see it for real. I expected a lot from it, but it wasn’t that special. There was a big statue in front of it with a big fountain. So we took pictures, like real tourists and we hoped to see the changing of the guard. But too bad, it didn’t happen. While we were looking at BP some guy with a camera walked to us and gave us a CD of BS. He wanted to film us, while we would say something nice about B. Well I’m not really a fan, let’s say I kind of hate Britney, but for a CD, which costs in Holland about 40 Guldens, I can lie. So we told the guy how much we loved Britney. Then we took the subway and showed up on time by Piccadilly circus. We had to report two times this trip, so the teachers knew we were still alive. At Piccadilly circus we told the story about Britney and when v Gendt heard we got the CD of Britney he almost begged me to give my CD to him, so he had a nice present for his daughter. Well I listened the CD at home, and I was glad I could give it away.
Then we went to the museum. The teachers told us it was a nice place to go to. So we went. We were already really tired. And there we had to walk. Every place we could sit, we did sit. Are feet were tired. Well some things were kind of nice. We have seen mummies and there was a big library. After we had seen enough we looked for a bus and when we sat, we didn’t move for some time. Finally, rest. We drove around in London, until we saw we were somewhere out of the centre. So we got out, walked to the nearest subway and we got back to the place the bus would leave, Hyde park. When we arrived there on time of course, we heard that a group was missing. That was not really unexpected, in every group are some stupid people. After some phone calls we got complete after all and we could leave London to go back to Gouda. The way back was not that nice. We at least, we could sit. We didn’t slept until we arrived by the ferry. The way back to France was terrible. It was cold. We the boat moved too much. A few people threw up and nobody did feel that well. After an hour, we had to go back to the bus and the ride home continued. Some people slept some time, others were awake the whole way. We drove a few hours and then we saw Gouda again. A lot of parents were waiting for us. Even though the way back was rough, we really enjoyed the London trip. We had a lot of fun, and don’t mind to go back some time. The trip to London was a great success.
het is een verslag van de Londenreis. Ik moet er een spreekbeurt over houden, het enige wat ik niet zeker weet zijn de tijden, woorden die verkeerd zijn geschreven enzo maken niet uit, zolang tijden maar kloppen en grammatica...
