Maatschappijleer - the general will

Voor maatschappijleer moet ik morgen een presentatie houden (in het Engels) over The general will van Rousseau. Ik moet vertellen wat het verschil is tussen the general will and the will of all en de conditions for realizing the general will.

Tot nu toe heb ik dit:
In his book the social contract, Rousseau defines his theory of the social contract. More philosophers came up with a social contract, which is an agreement among all the people in a society to give up part of their freedom to a government in exchange for protection of natural rights.
According to Rousseau, the social contract involves the idea that people should recognize a collective general will, so that the society could work properly. The general will is the common interest. The separate wishes, rights and desires of each member of a society together, make up the general will.

Maar ik weet niet precies hoe ik moet uitleggen wat het verschil is tussen de General will en de will of all.

Ik hoop dat iemand me kan helpen (liefst in het Engels, maar mag ook in het Nederlands als dat makkelijker is) . Alvast bedankt!

"There is often a great deal of difference between the will of all and the general will; the latter considers only common interest, while the former takes private interest into account, and is no more than a sum of particular wills: but take away from these same wills the pluses and minuses that cancel one another, and the general will remains as the sum of the differences."

Heel simpel gesteld:
- General will: common interest (gemeengoed - hetgeen waar dus iedereen het over eens is)
- Will of all: sommatie van alle individuele willen.
