Ik heb vandaag een bootleg van Tool aangeschafd met de volgende titel: Novus Opiate Seclorum
Weet iemand wat dit betekent?

Ik hoopte even dat je ook in het Latijn een typefout gemaakt had
Kijk eens hier:

Tool is also known to do some strange things with their merchandise. One t-shirt has written on it "Novus Opiate Seclorum", after the motto on the seal of the United States, "Novus Ordo Seclorum", which means "a new order for the ages"> This would mean, then, "a new opiate for the ages", and an opiate is a drug which calms, dulls pain, and brings sleep; it is thought that this may be a reference to Karl Marx's statement, "Religion is the opiate of the masses." Another cryptic phrase was printed on a set of concert tickets, reading, "Et In Arcadia Ego", which translates to "Even In Arcadia (I Am Present)", and refers to a painting from the Baroque period by Poussin, which reminds the viewer that Death exists even in Arcadia, the supposedly perfect place.
