see the soldiers passing by
in the early afternoon
water splashing on my face
even now I am not shy
in the distance hear them pace

smiles are curling just like you
all above me all around me
sun is warming only us
water, bread and you-who?
and your hair's so god-damned lush

are you quite, comfortable dear?
seeming unworried like this
dreaming, floating just above
it seems to me, you do not fear
we listen to the soaring doves

now sun is setting, do you see?
your eyes are closed, you let me tell
from red clouds, blue clouds turning gold
living here our highest degree
if this is heaven, what is hell?

waking up behind the wheel
with corpses flung across the street
the flames are leaping to my hand
only minutes did I steal
you make me so indifferent

Even de verantwoording: De eerste regel is gejat van de scorpions, Wind of change. Namen van betrokkenen zijn om diverse redenen niet genoemd dus hoefde ik ze ook niet te fingeren. Het is een komisch gedicht. Het is een gedeeltelijk dictief gedicht, er zijn geen ongelukken voorgevallen.

Betere van je, heb niet vaak de moeite genomen om gedichten twee of meerdere keren te lezen...
