So summer so winter

sense the very last of summer in the first calm days at school
some really steaming hot times drowsily dozing in the sun
and a funny feeling as if autumn has begun
but summer is still all around these days to play the fool

dark days dipped in storm and snow as white as dead man's face
this half of earth is waiting in a three-month-during sleep
and cold outside and cosyness inside have nestled deep
and all is still while life's biding its time in future's space

it's summer and it's winter and it's music and it's words
for those who want to see and hear and feel and smell and taste
they know the seasons and their feel and will not ever waste
the beauty that surrounds them accompanied by singing birds

Mooi maal! Vooral de eerste strofe is zeeeeeer herkenbaar

Ik ken weinig mensen die in het engels overtuigend kunnen dichten, maar jij bent dan wel een uitzondering. Poëtische vondsten in het engels zijn niet gemakkelijk te vinden voor iemand wiens moedertaal het niet is... tenzij natuurlijk jij uit Engeland zou komen (wat altijd kan ), ook dan ben je zeer goed.
