Samenvatting Engels

Hallo iedereen,

Voor Engels moet ik van artikelen enkele samenvattingen schrijven. Omdat ik Engels een lastig vak vind, plaats ik een samenvatting, zodat hier naar gekeken kan worden. Ik wil mijn Engels graag verbeteren en daarom zou ik het niet erg vinden om tips van jullie te ontvangen.

Mick Allcock is a 51 year old tax inspector. It is a difficult, but important job to do. Former it was a job with little aspect. In these days this view is changed a little, but still few people want something to know about this job. Many people want to live in a world without taxes: this is the same like a game without a referee. However, for M. Allock this job is something to be proud of. Therefore he very likes the work he has to do.
To do this job very well, you have to develop yourself constantly. As tax inspector you get a lot of people, who came from outsite, in your office to ask you about their finance. You have also be able to go on with the stress that this job brings with it.
M. Allock starts his carreer as a unskilled functionary and worked himself upwards on the ladder in the last twenty years. After he passed his exams fourteen years ago, he promoted to inspector.

Since two years his head activity is checking the business and corporation tax. Before that two years he specializes himself in self-employed individuals, like plumbers, joiners and freelance journalists.
When he discovers a mistake in the load declaration, he checks the bank account of the company and consults the land registry. If M. Allcock discovers that this mistake intentional commited is, he do not feels with these swindlers. According to him, they have to be punished, to still play the amount with a fine. After all they stole of the tax collectors office. For M. Allock it then makes not from if these persons have to sell their possessions. They have to pay their debt to the tax collectors office to corrects their mistake and gets rid of it.

brings with it --> wellicht niet fout, maar klinkt imo wel raar. Zou niet weten hoe het wel moet.
carreer as aN unstilled functionary. -> volgende woord begint met U, dus het woord 'a' krijg een extra N.

head activity - main tasks. Head is hoofd in het engels, te letterlijk vertaal. Het zou main moeten zijn. Activity op engels geeft activiteit aan, bezigheden. Het is een iets vager begrip, tasks is veel concreter.

he specalizED himself, het is verleden tijd. Hierna ga je verder in de tegenwoordig tijd, wat niet per see fout engels oplevert, maar wel tekst technisch raar is (doe jei n het nld ook niet, maar er word vaak bij engels veel minder op gelet, omdat daar de kwaliteit van het engels centraal staat, niet de setup van de samenvatting)

Ik studeer geen engels en mijn ervaring is based op havo niveau + veel films en games. But perhaps it helps

-few people: als je bedoelt slechts weinigen dan is het 'few people' als je bedoeld een paar dan is het ' a few people'.
-live is goed (kan zowel worden uitgesproken als [liv] =leven of als [laiv]=als in live tv. Life is het zelfstandignw.

- ik weet niet wat je met de een na laatste zin bedoelt, net zoals degene boven mij.

Al met al best een goede samenvatting hoor (alhoewel ik natuurlijk niet weet in welk jaar van welke school je zit). Zoals je uit de bovenstaande opmerkingen wel kunt opmaken zijn de voorzetsels in het Engels best lastig. Je kunt ze niet altijd letterlijk uit het Nederlands vertalen en soms geeft een ander voorzetsel meteen een andere betekenis. Het is wel nuttig om de voorzetsels, zeker in combinatie met werkwoorden of uitdrukkingen, gewoon goed uit je hoofd te leren.
