Binnen kort moet ik een speech voor de klas houden in het Engels, nou is mijn Engels niet zo sterk, wie willen mijn onderstaande speech controleren en zo waar nodig verbeteren?

My speech is about making mistakes by referees at soccer matches, a famous example is that France didn’t fair beat Ierland. Thierry Henry took the ball by hand and gave the assist to Gallas, he scored. My statement is: there should technological tools come that will help the referees.

The first argument for my statement is, that technological tools much easier is for the referees to get tough situations to evaluate. If there were technological tools than was probably Ireland instead of France in World Cup.

The second argument is that they also use technological tools in other sports. In tennis for example, they have a camera system which you can see if the ball was in or out. So why well in tennis and not in soccer?

The third argument for my statement is that soccer will be much more fairly. Soccer players who commit an offense and thereby profiting from, are now being addressed. Trough the technological tools can the referees so look back whether there was an infringement or not.

The fourth argument for the technological tools is that much money at stake for clubs. Last year ran Chelsea the final of the Champions League miss, Barcelona won the semi final. Chelsea deserved at least one penalty, but the referee did absolutely nothing. If you go to the final of this League you get a fat bonus, Chelsea get this bonus now not.

The fifth and final argument is that the referees during the games under less pressure stand. If they are unsure they can always assess the situation after images. Now they are often after the match for the camera to proclaim that they are wrong.

Some opponents of the technological tools says that soccer as much as possible to the old should remain. Here I disagree, because there are always have been changes in soccer. An example is the additional referees on the end of the line on Europa League this year.

This was my speech, I hope you’re convinced.

Zo dit was hem, alvast bedankt!

My speech is about referees making errors at soccer matches. A famous example the match France - Ireland (noem ook het jaar en de uitslag even), France didn’t beat Ierland in this game. Thierry Henry made an assist to Gallas using his hand, who scored. My statement is: Soccer should have technological aides that can help the referees make the right decision.

The first argument for my statement is, technological tools make it much easier for the referees to evaluate tough situations. If such tools were available in the fore mentioned match Ireland would probably have won the World Cup instead of France.

The second argument is that they use technological tools in other sports. In tennis for example, they have a camera system which enables the referee to see if a ball is in or out. So why can it be used in tennis and not in soccer?

The third argument for my statement is that soccer will be much more fair. Soccer players who commit an offense and thereby profiting from it, can now be addressed. Trough the aid of technological tools the referees can also look back whether an action was a foul or not.

The fourth argument for my statement is that much money at stake for clubs. Last year Chelsea missed the final of the Champions League, Barcelona won the semi final. Chelsea deserved at least one penalty, but none was awarded by the referee. A club that goes through to the final of this League gets a major bonus, which, in the case of Chelsea, was missed.

The fifth and final argument is that the referees are prone to less pressure during matches. If uncertainty arises they can always assess the situation with the help of video recordings. Now they can only admit that they were wrong, nothing will change as to the outcome of the match.

Some opponents of the technological tools say that soccer should remain as it was as much as possible. Here I disagree, because there always have been changes in soccer. An example is the additional referees on the line in Europa League this year.

This was my speech, I hope you’re convinced.

Zo dit was hem, alvast bedankt!
Verder zou ik serieus overwegen om het gewoon Football te noemen, alleen Amerikanen noemen het soccer.
