For me the issue was resolved by using the FixIt over here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941
It seems that the Windows Store issue and Windows Update are closely related. After I installed this fix I started getting another error 0x8024600e, which is basically a licensing issue. I resolved that by going to the store and clicking install again on the application that I wanted updated. |
