The Fear She Carries

The fear she carries,
the trembling fear,
it will stay with her,
for years and years.
He took her virginity in a horrifying way,
Beat her,threw her down in every which way,
Rape is a crime,this criminal must pay.
Her muffled screams were heard by strangers nearby,
They ran to get help,but this man was sly.
He knocked her unconscious and ran out of sight,
Left her alone,cold,and forgotten in the evening light.
