Kan iem. mij alsjeblieft helpen met het vertalen van het volgende stukje:

De Amerikaanse minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Colin Powell, zegt dat het aannemen van de door de VS, Groot-Brittannië en Spanje ingediende resolutie 'binnen handbereik' is. Volgens Powell zullen waarschijnlijk negen of tien landen voor de resolutie stemmen die de weg kan vrijmaken voor een oorlog met Irak. Maar hij zei dat het hem niet zou verwonderen als Frankrijk zijn veto uitspreekt.
