Uhm....die screenshots zijn ontworpen door CM fans, SI Games hield een soort en met prijsvraag hoe je het liefst had dat CM 4 eruit ging zien qua design. Dus die screenshots zullen niet in CM 4 zitten, er zijn nog geen screenshots vrijgegeven;
Dit zit er in, sorry in het engels, maar ik neem aan dat de CM spelers dit wel begrijpen, gepost op www.thedugout.tv -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CMSpain emailed SI with a list of fixes and proposals for CM4. SI replied as follows: - Possibility of "scenarios", I mean, at the beginning of the season, you have certain tasks to do with certain club. For example, winning the league with Chelsea only playing with english players, don't be relegated with Derby County without buying any player, etc.. These are planned are will go in if we get enough time - Adding new competitions in Spain (Copa Federación and Copa Catalunya). I think that having more divisions in every country is better than adding new leagues, that are not important for the fans of the game. CM4 will have a lot more flexibity on which leagues are enabled so there is more scope for new leagues. Whether they will go in will depend on research cost and time for implementation/testing. - The assistant manager can help you more if he tells you who played well, bad, what was the problem during the last match, what to do with your tactics, etc. We are looking at more ways of getting your assistant manager to help out. - In the database, the loans, injuries, bans, must be included in every player record. The managers must have their own history as manager, not as players. That is planned for the new online database which is being implemented currently. - The trips must make the players to be more tired. And it's impossible to play today in Brazil the World Club Cup and tomorrow in Spain the league. Try to have a look at the matches schedule. We have this in mind but it depends on how fast the code can be. Checking fixtures all of the time is a relatively slow process. - The managers must have a contract length with their current club, and maybe a salary (like in CM1) That is planned for the game. - Use the pundit.cfg file with each language, not only in english. This will be going in the online database so it should be a lot easier to convert. - Change of menubars during the game, like the backgrounds CM4 will have a lot more flexibity in its design. We are looking at using script files for controlling screen layouts. - Try to fix the officials, or if you can't, delete the statistics of them. It's another thing we definitely will look at. - The reserve teams in Spain have several mistakes with the rules. Have a look at the document I also attach you. Will do. I am working on various squad selection methods now (e.g. USA rosters/European squads) and will try to get a better system for B teams. - Update the events file in each version. Will pass this on to Paul. - In the cups, the teams that qualify for the next round must be in a different colour to see easily who qualify, not as now, where you must look at both sides of the screen and it is quite confusing. Easily done. I'll try it and see what it looks like. - Possibility of printing almost every screen. Should be fairly easy. If we get time we will definitely look at it. - The players that are generated in the game must have a name related with the country they are (for example, no more Fernandez in Afghanistan or François in Vietnam). And also, generate players with second nationality basque, if not, many basque clubs won't be able to sign players. And in Spain, that the common name is the first name instead of the second name, as it happens always. New players do not have common names set when they are generated. Perhaps for future versions, we will find some way of linking up common names properly. We also try to keep the same percentage of Basque players in Spain as well. - Player written histories in other languages, not only in english. I don't know if this will go into CM4. - The ARSE command must work in all the languages. As far as I know it should already work. - Sometimes, if 2 clubs have the same number of points and goals at the end of the season, the winner is the one with the first letter "lower" alphabetically, which is not correct. There must be a rule in every country for this. In Spain, for example, win the club with less yellow and red cards. In Italy there is a decider match, etc.. I will look at that when I get back to doing the competitions. - With the smaller clubs, (for example, in the spanish 2nd Division B), the player wages are very exaggerated. You must fix this problem, that happens when the database have no value in this field. We have had similar comments from our Irish researcher. Marc will be looking at making it more realistic. - The bans for a red card are usually in Spain for 1 match or 2. But in the game is very normal to have your player banned for 8 matches for only doing a hand. Try to fix it. This part will be completely rewritten for CM4 so should be better. - During the match, you could tell some of the players that are in the bench to warm up, I mean, to start to run and make exercises in order not to enter the match quite cold. If you don't make this, they can be injured when start to play, or they can be slower. But for example, if a player is running in the side for a long time, he can be tired, or if he doesn't play after warming for a long time, he can stay unhappy. I think it can be a valuable idea, as it is something a good manager make during the matches. I mentioned this to Dobs and it got a good response. If we get time and it feels right then there is a good chance of this. - That sometimes the chairman suggest you to buy certain players or to make some players to play the match. We have been thinking about doing something like this. - When you need him, you can force a player to stay at your club instead of playing with his national team, so the player can be very unhappy, and perhaps his national federation can ban him to play again for his country. This is already planned. - The players could have new attributes: height instead of "jumping" and weight that is important for the strength. Height will be in the new database, possible weight too - I can't remember. - Also a new field called "region", with the region or province where he was born, so he can be more attracted by clubs from his same region than for others. Obviously, every club must also have this field, and it can solve many problems in Spain with the Cup matches (as the draw sometimes has the condition of being teams that are geographically near). We have a home city field now in the database. - You can praise the players, even though the media don't ask you about him. This is going into the game currently. - Is the players search, create a new filter with ALL the players positions (not only Def, Mid, Att), also DM, M, AM, S, etc.. And also a filter with all the nationalities. It would be good when you are national manager Will think about it. - When your club win any competition (UEFA Cup, the league, the Cup, you get promoted, etc.), something more spectacular to celebrate it, not the typical message "Liverpool have won the UEFA Cup with his victory 5-4 against Alavés". Something telling that the crowd celebrated the success in the streets, or they waited in the airport for the arrival of the club... Something better We have done this a bit for CM01/02. Hopefully we can improve it for CM4. - A news filter, because if you play the Conference division, you don't need to know if some big European club have signed certain player. You can configure the kind of news you want to read. And the same with the results, you don't need to see the results of the UEFA Cup in the first rounds. Will look into this but most of us think it is important for players to keep up to date with big stories (you cannot ignore them in real life) - Sometimes, you can substitute a player who is playing very well, and you can make it to have him happy as the crowd would cheer him when he goes out of the field. But in the game, if you make this, the player can be angry with you. So, an option when you make a substitution to have the player happy can be useful. Will check if Dobs has this in mind. - When you have a free kick or corner, have some default plays to make, and train them during the week, and tell the players to make it during the game. We are looking at doing this. - Real pre-season tournaments, you can be invited to them depending on the reputation of your club, and you can win money if you are the champion. Possibly. - Additional clauses when you buy or sell a player: if you buy one, you can later buy him again before certain years, at a given price. More transfer clauses are planned. - When you apply for a job in other club, they tell you that you'll be informed when they appoint a new manager, but this never happens. They get a new manager, and you don't have any news about it. We will definitely fix this. - When a player gets a new nationality, be informed of it. A piece of news with it. I did the nationality changing code on Friday - I'll stick in some news for it tomorrow. - Possibility of offering players to certain clubs, because sometimes it's very difficult to loan out or sell your players. This is already in the game. - The negotiations with the players you want to buy can be in real-time when you make your final offer. So you are with the player and his representant, and you both have an idea of how much can be the offer. You start negotiating "live" until one of you accept the offer or break definetely the conversations. It can be the last day of the transfer period or when the player wants to join another club and have several offers. Similar to what you made in CM1, you could make 3 offers to the player, and the other clubs too. The player could say yes or no. But now more complexity with it: wages, length, clauses, a place in the first eleven, etc.. We already have a basic system for this in place but it needs a lot of tuning to be perfect. - There are some statistics during the match that are not realistic. For example, the throw-ins are very few, and the number of fouls. In a match there are around 15 throw-ins and more than 25 fouls (at least in Spain), so I think you can try to improve this. The same with the number of yellow cards the players receive. In Spain there are much more than 1 or 2 per match, as it appears in the game. The normal number of cards shown are around 4 or 5 per match. Sometimes more, but only 1 or 2 happens very seldom. CM4 will have a new match engine which may well have already fixed the problems above. - And about the cards, if a players touchs the ball with the hand or the arm, almost always he must receive a yellow card. In the game it doesn't happen. Will pass this on to Dobs. - The manager reputation must be increased not only in the country where you are currently playing, but also in your country (the nationality you have) and perhaps in the countries where you have managed before, as it's normal that the country where you was born follow your successes, and the clubs where you were before, can have a look if the manager they had some years ago was really so bad or not... WIll pass this on to whoever deals with manager reputations. - Possibility of telling things personally to every player. For example: "You must play better, or you are going to sit in the bench for the next match", "Your last match was great, I must recognise that your football is better every day", "If you go on making bad fouls, I must warn you with a fine", etc. So the player can improve (or not) the morale, he can be happy (or unhappy) with the manager with that option, etc.. There can be a list of 10 or 15 different messages to congratulate or criticize the players, dependind on their form or how they played in the last matches. We are looking to have a lot more communication between managers and players.
