What's missing in my life?

I feel like I’m living
But it means that I’m dying
I can’t stop thinking about things
That don’t even concern me
Why do I live this way
Pretending that I’m happy
When I feel so empty

I’m searching for something
That is missing in my life
But I can’t see what it is
That I long for deep inside
I keep on playing this game
Until something comes along
That can make me complete

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong direction
Maybe I shouldn’t say something but someone
Maybe it’s love that I’m looking for
I just can’t stand the waiting
Why can’t I take my own advice
I have to keep my head up high
I have to love myself

For that’s the only way to love another
When it comes from deep inside
I can not love if I can’t love myself
And the waiting continues
I feel like I’m going crazy
So much in my head right now
I need to take a step back

The heart-aches, the concerning
They try to take the best of me
I wish they would just go away
Just stay away and let me be
I rush into things to quickly
I need to take things easy
Even if only for a while

And it’s been a while now
Since I could say I’m really happy
Wish I could say it now
Without those tears in my eyes
They burn inside my eyes
They hurt my skin so bad
I want the hurting to stop

I wish I could create a world
Where everybody’s happy
And lives in perfect harmony
And everybody respects me
But I’m afraid I can’t
I let things fly over me
Pretending they’re not there
But at night they come back
And they hurt me again

I wake up sweating and crying
Until that something or someone comes along
To take it all away from me
And make me truly happy

ik had er weinig moeite mee om eerlijkk te zijn. In een kwartiertje had ik em op papier staan...
