Hallo!
Ik ben bezig met de voorbereidingen voor mijn toets van engels. Daarvoor heb ik wat Engelse woorden gekregen die ik moest vertalen en die ik in een zin moest zetten. Uit de zin moet de betekenis van het woord af te leiden zijn.
Ik ben uit de meeste wel gekomen, maar weet niet ofdat ze goed zijn!
Zou iemand ze even na willen kijken??????

solitary = eenzaam, op zich zelf stand

to convey an impression = het zag er naar uit

to feel compunction about something = berouw hebben
-He felt compunction about that because he had never helped her.
unrestrainedly = uitbundig (niet terughoudend )
-She laughs unrestrainedly about the nice joke.
beguiling = bekoorlijk (aanlokkend)
-She haves dark handsome hair, blue eyes and beguiling.
tedious = langdradig
-The call was tedious, I did 5 other things in the time she was calling.
peril = gevaar, oorzaak perilous(ly) = gevaarlijk
-It’s perilously to walk outside alone in the dark.
tranquil = kalm, rustig tranquility = kalmte, rustigheid
-The sea was tranquil because there was no wind.
world-weary = levensmoe
-He was world-weary and killed himself.
to glint = glinsteren
-The building glint in the sun.
to decide = beslissen
-I have to decide which study I want to do or else I’m too late.
